Madeleine Paquin, President and CEO of Logistec, has been awarded the prestigious Mercure Leadership Germaine-Gibara from the Fédération des chambres de commerce du Québec (Québec’s Federation of Chambers of Commerce). Ms. Paquin accepted the award at the Mercuriades gala event in Montréal on May 16.
“Passion and ambition are fundamental to develop a successful business. I’ve found that having a clear vision helps guide hard work and perseverance in the right direction, and that it’s important to surround yourself with people who share your dreams, both in your personal and professional life,” said Ms. Paquin.
Named after one of Québec’s most accomplished business and management professionals, the Mercure Leadership Germaine-Gibara is presented annually to a woman who, in addition to growing and leading her company to success, has made significant and lasting contributions to her line of business. Recipients are recognized for their creativity, strategic vision, and the quality of their professional achievements.
Les Mercuriades were founded in 1981 and are the most respected and prominent business competition in Québec. Each year, awards are presented in various categories to celebrate the innovation, ambition, entrepreneurship, and performance of Québec businesses of all sizes.
