Mestco Terminal Inc., a provider of value-added port logistics in Montréal-Est, has been renamed MtlLINK following Logistec’s acquisition of a majority stake in the business.
“We have been offering transloading and other container-related services at this location since 2010, and have built a solid customer base. Logistec is making significant investments to develop MtlLINK to its full potential,” said Madeleine Paquin, President and CEO of Logistec Corporation. “This facility is also a strategic fit with the CargoM vision of developing Montréal as a logistics hub, and will help support regional growth in the container sector.”
MtlLINK’s new paper-grade warehouse will soon be ready to receive cargo. It will have four doors with direct access to rail, five docks to accommodate trucks of any size, and two ground-level oversize doors. MtlLINK also offers inventory management services, including scanning and EDI, to both its short-term and long-term storage customers.
Additional site renovations will resume next spring, including paving the terminal. By early 2015, MtlLINK customers will have access to additional laydown area, suitable for major projects and oversized pieces.
